TLC (Through Love Charities) was started by two teen girls who were encouraged to do more for their community then what was expected.
The name Through Love Charities comes from the verse Galatians 5:13.
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Although the group is called Through Love Charities, we are not a charity. We are just a group of teens doing what needs to be done around us.
